About the South Carolina Fife and Drum Assosciation

The South Carolina Fife and Drum Assosciation was founded in 2026 by a distributed group of South Carolinian fife and drum enthusiast inspired by the United State's 250th birthday. Some came for the music, some came for the history, some for both, and some simply because they missed the role that F&D had played earlier in their lifes. Regardless, the diverse group of fifers and drummers became dedicated to helping to revive the American art of fife and drum in South Carolina.

The SCFADA is working on becoming a not-for-profit entity committed to outreach, education, and preserving SC's colonial and martial music history. The organization is politically and religiously unaffiliated and welcomes people of all backgrounds with an interest in Fife and Drum.
